That s the standard behavior i have seen in most cases.
Awning on rv wont open.
One may have come loose.
If you are lucky you may just have a poor electrical connection.
Some electric systems have a spring on the rear side of the awning if it is really long but this will make it harder to go out not in.
After researching a e awnings i have concluded that the electric motors that open and close them are not very reliable.
When your electric awning won t open electric awnings give you the ability to choose between shade and sun whenever you want as long as the awning is working.
Extend your awning about 2 feet.
Use the manual override if the motor is completely dead.
This will give you room to work.
To open your rv awning first squeeze the support tabs on the awning which will release the travel locks.
Tie the awning arms off to the bracket where it attaches to the side of your rv.
